Welcome to Down-Dog Junction (dot) com!

On this site you will find articles pertaining to yoga and life applications of yoga. No, you will not be blasted with any type of mysticism or broad brush strokes of the “power” of yoga. Instead you will be provided with my experience(s); both good and bad in a no-holds-barred journey into the world of yoga. What you will read about is what yoga has done for my health and fitness as well as living life at 90%.  More importantly what yoga CAN do for you.

In yoga, the recognized rest position is known as “Child’s Pose”. One generally assumes “Child’s Pose” in order to rest, cool down, or to slow the heart rate to a comfortable level.  ”Downward-Facing-Dog” or “Down-Dog” is a “transitional pose”.  In other words, it’s a pause between certain poses; designed to give a little more stretch in your hamstrings, achilles, hips, upper and lower back prior to moving on to the next pose.

This site is dedicated to those who understand that in life as in yoga; sometimes it’s necessary to assume “Down-Dog” rather than “Child’s Pose”.

ADVERTISEMENT on this site:  I recognize that there are many sites that seem to be scattered, smattered, and smothered with advertisements for everything from toothpaste to disposable diapers. You will not find an advertisement on this site featuring any company that I have not continually done business with: that is a GUARANTEE.
